Review of The Crimson Rivers (2000) by Alexander J — 19 Jun 2007
One of the better modern French crime thrillers with an added prise of suspense and occultism. Throughout the film, you get this creepy feeling like somebody's sneaking up on you. Kassovitz attempted at adapting the American recipe to a French Alps environment and - with the help of all-stars Reno and Cassel - got away with it.
The suspense only lasts until the last third of the movie, then it becomes kinda cheesy.
