Review of The Class (2007) by Chris Z — 18 Aug 2009
Exceptional. You'd swear it was a documentary. Laurent Cantet is quickly becoming one of my favorite directors, I just recently saw his film Human Resources which is one of my new favorite films, also simply exceptional.
There is so much in this movie, and despite the fact that it never once leaves the school, its breadth is stunning. I could talk for hours and hours about this film, and the education and social and race and class and age and etc topic that it charges up.
It's a film that takes no sides, it's fantastic.
