Richard kelly's(donnie darko) sophomore directing effort. I was excited about this as it had a comic book prequel which I acquired in anticipation of the theatrical release which I then missed. hilariously bizzare movie.

going to re-read the comic and re-watch the movie in an attempt to understand what the hell was going on- I found it visually sumptuous and many of the performances are way over the top, particularly dwayne johnson(the rock).

not for the faint of heart. I think kelly would be in good company with david lynch and darren aronofsky.
