Its a shame when the avg person thinks of a great boxing film they immediately think of "rocky" and not look back at this wonderful underrated film...Paul Newman commands the screen with an incredible star making performance.
..he was terrific...the accent..the gestures...the ferociousness....Eileen Heckart was great as his mother and Pier Angeli as his wife...great cinematography...i even lol'ed a few times at a few scenes.
