Jeremy Irons gives the performance of his career playing a man accused of trying to kill his rich socialite wife. The ending alone likely won him the Oscar. Glenn Close commands attention playing the wife in a coma.

Most of her work is in flashbacks and monologues throughout the film. Its a very interesting story. Apparently based on a real life case.
