Review of Exeter (2015) by Adrienne L — 24 Sep 2015
This movie starts off like it is going to be horrible. You're convinced of that fact for the first 10-15 (okay maybe 20) minutes but it actually does pay off! As long as you understand that this flick is half horror-half teen, you will see how some horror film cliches are performed surprisingly well.
This film is well acted, and is a brag on the resume of any makeup artist or set designer who is getting their feet wet, particularly in genre films. It is hard to please horror buffs, and I have to say I've been though the rolodex.
While I learned nothing new about the genre, I was entertained. Really, this movie is a 3-3.5 star flick... But I bumped it to encourage others to give it a chance past the opening sequences.
