Review of Red River (1988) by Bryan T — 16 Jun 2008
Perfect. Much more organic and believable than any other western of its time. These performances still resonate with immense power and precision, and that's very rare for a western this old and classic.
I wouldn't change a frame of this film, including the ending which most people seem to hate. Hawks is a master storyteller and this is as great a western as you'll ever see.
