Review of Red Corner (1997) by Deb S — 25 Sep 2010
I love Dick Gere but sometimes, he grates on me. This was one of those times. I have to give Bai Ling (or Ling Bai) snaps because this was one of the few times I had the pleasure of watching her seriously act.
Usually, she plays herself or what she wants us to believe is herself - some flighty, silly, dumb seductress. Still, as much as I wanted to like the film, it was too long and took itself way too seriously.
