Depressing, traumatic and utterly brilliant. This is the story of a 16 year old girl from harlem who is abused by her mother and tries to improve her lot in life by enrolling in an 'alternative school'.
Outstanding performances all round and you will be devastated by the ending which just leaves you breathless.
