Review of Oranges and Sunshine (2010) by Alan W — 03 May 2011
To be honest I was disappointed by this movie. I was expecting an emotional roller-coaster instead what I got was a sometime plodding story with occasionally moving snippets. The performances are good and the heart of the story the forced deportation of over 100,000 children from the UK to Australia is unbelievable.
But I didn't particularly warm to Margaret I wanted to know Len's story and suspect that has much to do with for the standout performance of David Wenham.
