The end of the easy years, easing into growing old, hanging on to the silences. Nothing happens, sure, but it probably shouldn't in a meditation. Politics creeps at the edges, on the road into the wilderness, and things we can't name are lost to time.
But never our love for Yo La Tengo, hot baths or Will Oldham. Those are for life.
