Review of Masculin Féminin (1966) by James D — 24 Nov 2007
Obviously not for everyone, but Godard was a master of cinema. He is a bit of a pompous ass now, but he was a phenom. This is a beautiful film about innocence and lost love. He dissects the conflict of war from a distance and explores ideals of sheltered youth trying to escape their existence.
I'm sure you can take it in different ways, but for me it's all about the relationships.
