A deep and real drama which gives beautiful focus and great perspective for the audience. Casey Affleck gives a gritty and moving performance while the support actors tell a lot in their subtleties although there can be staged like qualities to them.

While its music might be decisive Manchester by the Sea's choice of scenes, dialogue and objects tell a thousand more words than other movies can with copious dialogue.
