Review of Love & Pop (1998) by Emil K — 09 Feb 2009
This is more like an experiment with camera-techniques than a film. Beneath all the visual trickery is a very important topic about prostitution, but it just gets buried under the Anno's constantly moving camera.
It ends up being very close to a pretentious crap with all of it's philosophical mumbo-jumbo and symbolism. Less would have been more in this case. Now it is just borderline torture to sit through.
