Review of Lorna's Silence (2008) by Roman R — 18 Feb 2010
A very tragic story.
Illegal Eastern European immigrants in Western Europe is not a new theme for a movie. Neither is it a Belgian theme, it is a phenomenon that can take place everywhere in the richer Europe.
The movie is very slow, scenes are long and silent (of course with such a title you wouldn't expect anything else). The soundtrack is poor, almost non-existent. The story line is good. Just as Nick Broomfield's Ghosts this is a film where every viewer has a different opinion.
It has an open ending which is not bad in this particular flick.
