Review of Le Havre (2011) by Joshua H — 22 Apr 2012
Le Havre is a timely, beautiful little film that tells the story of a shoe shiner who cares for an illegal African immigrant boy in the French port city of Le Havre. The performances are wonderful, the pacing tight, and the story seems like director Kaurismäki planted a fairy tale into the contemporary world.
This film must be seen as it will make you feel warm and you will be uplifted.
