Review of L'Avventura (1960) by Smarty S — 04 Oct 2007
This is of course one of Antonio's masterpieces. What I love most about this film is the power and intensity of it's quiet. The dialog, the conversation is often in touch or expression alone-- words hang heavy and long in the air.
The scene of the wind spout rising, the intensity of the wind as it roughs the island is forever memorable.
