Review of Irreversible (2002) by Private U — 01 Sep 2009
This is not a film, it's more like a trip that results in a headache. This film is shot specifically to cause your brain to hurt, camera angles are never still or straight and you are viewing the whole film like it's through tunnel vision.
Having said that I spit on your grave can just eat your fucking heart out because with the rise of modern cinema and this film in particular Jennifer Hill had it easy. The rape scene in this film is far more intense and far better acted.
In closing, the title is literal but the ride well worth the effort.
