Review of Hyena (2015) by Late R — 17 Aug 2017
Classic British crime drama that's a typically gritty and violent affair, 'Hyena' gives a realistic-feeling insight into the corruption of a drug task force. The performances from the cast are fantastic and very believable which makes watching the characters world spiral out of control a real treat, albeit a dreary and depressing one. What lets this film down is the script itself which is somewhat unfocused.
Overall, it's a worthy entry into British crime drama, but may not be for everyone.
