Review of Faces (1968) by Mathieu C — 13 Jun 2007
Gritty and brutally honest like all of Cassavetes' great films. This film depicts the night a husband tells his wife he wants a divorce and what they both do as a result of this. Cassavetes very closely documents every moment of these peoples lives with such insight and brutal honesty.
Of course the film leaves you emotionally exausted, but it wouldn't feel like Cassavetes if it didn't. Great film.
