Review of Dark Country (2009) by Brendan N — 18 Aug 2010
The twilight zone done right, I found this very enjoyable which I found very surprising. thomas jane is a rare talented actor who has also made the leap into directing. he plays the lead role with a laid back calm which soon turns to psycotic with time.
The brilliant effect used for the story telling is well done and feels alot like a modern hitchcock thriller. I couldn't figure out the entire reason for the film but I really found it surprising and interesting.
I can see why it missed the grand cinema release which is quite sad because it totally rocks. hopefully thomas jane is given another project like this because he really makes the movie move along.
