Review of Christmas Evil (1980) by Travis M — 22 Feb 2008
Classic Christmas slasher about a grown man who's love for Christmas gets him teased a lot and leaves him with more bullies and hurdles in life rather than cheer or joy. Finally, he goes a little bonkers and becomes Santa Claus himself, giving gifts to those who have been nice, and a slash to the throat who have been naughty.
There are some genuine moments in this film, along with some very dark comedy and creepy moments. This film is a few steps above Silent Night, Deadly Night, but takes itself too seriously. Still, it's a great watch, and apparently good enough to warrant a shitty remake.
Yay.
