Review of Brigsby Bear (2017) by Bob M — 16 Jul 2017

This freshman effort by Mooney and McCary really pays off. Mooney brings a new sweetness and likeability to his go-to awkward character that helps turn this movie into more than it seems. Delicately balancing the sometimes dark plot with it's many comedic and heartfelt moments, the cinematography really was the glue that made this peice stand, also offering us more beautiful landscape shots than your average comedy.

The cast is great, from the young "no-namers" to Hamill who adds just the pinch of cookiness his character needs, to the Goodneighbor cameo's us fans were looking for.
