Review of Bloody Sunday (2002) by Vesa L — 30 Sep 2007
Greengrass would perfect the feel of barebones realism that permeates Bloody Sunday with his next historical recreation, United 93. In hindsight, the set-up of this film feels slightly more like a dramatization than his nightmarish expose of September 11th.
This is nitpicking though; once the plot points are in place, the actual events of Bloody Sunday are suddenly unleashed upon the viewer, and it feels as if you are a terrified observer of this unsettling and tragic moment in time.
