Review of Beyond the Black Rainbow (2010) by Sean H — 27 May 2012
An absolute aesthetic achievement that reminds us of the atmosphere and emotional subtext that can be achieved by set design, lighting, and soundtrack. Very little digital, CGI drivel here. A wonderful homage to auteurs like Carpenter and Kubrick while being so thoroughly beyond the pale that it transcends genre and becomes a legitimate work of art.
Watch with your sense sharpened.
