The whole gotcha of this film was like, that this dude has given revolutionaries across the world the ability to violently overthrow their governments. But the filmmaker takes this obnoxious liberal take that all violence is disgusting.
Like this bizarre irrelevant moral high ground informs the entire narrative. There's a way more interesting story there if you don't just approach it with your mind already made up that any and all violence is bad.
