Review of A Touch of Zen (1970) by Gianni V — 05 Jun 2009
This is three films in one: a wuxia pian as seen by a noncombatant, followed by an almost spaghetti western-like film on revenge and ambush, and finally a mute film about the defeat of passion and attachment to wordly values.
All-in-all a grand film, but I did prefer Raining in the Mountain, which has more rhythm, even though the basics are the same.
