Review of Vertigo (1958) by Devin W — 28 Aug 2011
One of the most exciting and thrilling movies I have seen. James Stewart is spellbinding as is Novak. The photography alone makes 'Vertigo' required viewing - Hitchcock's genius touch of zooms, angles, colours, dizzying camera work gives the viewer a feeling untouched by any other movie.
It's so dazzling I was happy to have a rewind button to watch the remarkable scenes over-and-over that are certain to have the viewer coming back for more. And don't even get me started on the outstanding score that should've won every award imaginable.
