Review of The Education of Charlie Banks (2007) by Matthew R — 23 Aug 2010
What interested me to watch this movie was the main character jessie eisenburg [charlie] who plays a college a student that witnessed his friend's [danny] buddy [mick] beat up 2 students and almost killed them.
he went to the cops and ratted mick out without him or danny finding out until later on in the movie. mick walks back into charlie's life staying with him and danny on campus, basically living the college life without actually attending.
his relationship with mick is unsterile as they run into awkwardness between each other as mick starts to date the girl charlie becomes attractive to as well as a small tuzzle that happens at the end of the movie.
the film itself is very simple, yet good. it is an indie story that shuns away from acting flaws as each character is portrayed differently, yet very well.
