Review of The Butcher Boy (1998) by Private U — 25 Mar 2008
Eamonn Owens curbed my distaste for child actors. His portrayal of Francy Brady, a down and out Irish kid growing up with an absenty, drunken father, a mother who commits suicide, and a best friend that eventually turns his back on him, is without a doubt the greatest character transformation from page to film for an adolesent actor.
