Bloody & violent, this is a story of unbridled greed. Contains torture, rape, betrayals, thievery, and a generally evil dude. Early in his career, Katsu-san threw himself into portraying this highly unlikable blind-man by spending several weeks observing/mimicking actual blind people.

This training served him well as he was later cast as the mythic anti-hero, Zatoichi.

This review of The Blind Menace (1960) was written by on 09 Apr 2013.

The Blind Menace has generally received positive reviews.
