Review of The Act of Killing (2012) by Christopher T — 18 Jul 2013
The world has never seen a documentary of this caliber. It grabs you and holds you in a chokehold, from the first moment through the final credit. Joshua Oppenheimer, through tackling a problem that few outside of Indonesia had ever known, has created a portrait more terrifying than any other presentation of war crimes, genocide, and misuses of justice.
The Act of Killing is the most terrifying, eye-opening film I've seen in years. Shocking, disgusting, enraging, emotionally devastating. Everyone should see it.
