Review of Stroszek (1977) by Jon Q — 06 Dec 2007
Beautifully combines humour and tragedy as Bruno loses his soul in search of the American Dream. It managed to capture the realism of the characters and setting while not over sensationalizing it (The American's were not all evil, demonic monsters), which happens all to often.
I love films like this most of all - they make you think for days after and don't try to hard conveying the massage. Amazing film.
