Review of Seven Chances (1925) by Tim M — 15 May 2011
Perhaps one of the funniest movies ever. It kept me laughing all the way through, even some title cards with dialogue. Keaton did some of his best here. The pacing is phenomenal and the humor is right on par and even better in some places.
Keaton performs some fantastic stunts in this film and his physical prowess is seen full force in running, jumping and dodging (the man was a pro at physical stunts). A hilarious story that is pulled off to perfection with perhaps the best chase scenes in film history.
The pure manic fast-paced craziness should make even the most boring crack a smile. Keaton was truely a master of comedy. (It also features the film debut of notable actress Jean Arthur!).
