Review of Samson and Delilah (2009) by Llewellyn N — 14 Jun 2009
Its very European and US Indie with its slow pace at the start. Its like the movie Candy in a way with heroin being replaced with petrol sniffing. I just have come back from Alice Springs and i've seen all the Aboriginal mobs on the Todd River and around town. Its such a clash of cultures. This goes some way to understand what the clash is like for them. What is the answer?
I must say both leads perform so well - Marissa plays just such a strong person, who gets a bit distorted whilst in Alice. And Rowan - wow - if Heath Ledger does a good heroin addict - and Geoffrey Rush plays a mad pianist - Rowan does an amazing zonked out petrol sniffer.
