Review of Safety Last! (1923) by Mathieu C — 13 Jun 2007
One of the greatest and most iconic silent comedies. Known to most people for the shot where Harold Lloyd is dangling from the minute hand of a giant clock from a huge building. The end where he climbs the building has got to be one of the most suspenceful sequences in all of cinema.
What leads up to the climb is also very funny and a good showcase of how great of a physical comedian Lloyd was, but the climb is still the main attraction and what makes this film great.
