Review of 'Round Midnight (1986) by Marcelle K — 15 Oct 2007
Touching film, about a young French artist who takes in, and tries to care for the great jazz musician who is his inspiration.
Dale Turner (Dexter Gordon), tired of the hustle and bustle, and racism of America, flees to Paris in the 1950s, and finds his own "family" in the artist and his young daughter, and they give him the inspiration to find the last spark of his talent.
