Great film, and I think if this is not Power Ranger film, the negative reviews could be lesser.

This film spend most of the time focus on relationship, how the 5 rangers build their trust. This is very great, it makes the moment they morph more exciting. Currently super hero film mostly doesn't spend much time on relationship and emotional interpretation.

I like this so I give positive rating, but I can understand if there are any negative ratings too.

I believe most of the audience watch this film for childhood, and what make this film attractive is childhood too.

If I was a kid, when will I expect from this film? Yes, morph, I want to watch the character fight with armor, fight with giant robot.

So there is no surprising for this film getting so much negative review, we can't expect a child watch a film for "building relationship", they watch only for "Power Rangers".
