Surprisingly, I liked this film much more than I expected! Post Tenebras Lux made me realize that things and events do not have to be understood, things just happen, dreams just happen, and everything continues.
I think it is the first time I really think cinema is an art that can be compared to painting. It sketches the authors perception of everything, both reality and fantasy. What does a painting really wants to say? The answer to that is only in the makers head.
The same happens with Post Tenebras Lux, the explanation of things are only in Reygadas's head, and that's fine by me, I love seeing other people's subconscious. Even the most fantastical parts seem real.
And of course, extraordinary cinematography.
