Definitely no Blade Runner, but a decent sci-fi film just the same. It has some really cool visuals, and the action scenes, especially at the climax, are pretty intense. Too bad the emotional intensity is nowhere near the same level.
The romantic relationship between the protagonist and a female cyborg is supposed to be a big part of the movie, but it has virtually no development until the second half, and even then it lacks the strength to make it believable.
The plot was also kind of hard to follow, but at least it held my attention and had some interesting twists.
