Review of Martin (1978) by Andrew R — 21 Oct 2012
Strangest vampire film you'll ever see. Not really scarey but gets under the skin and creates a real sense of unease. Interesting performance from the lead John Amplas makes the film more thought provoking then it might have been. All the other acting ranges from passable to terrible. Worth checking out if you like odd films or if you're into Romero (he still says it's his favorite of the films he's made).
Just rewatched this (10/2012), and it's even better than I remember. Actually a very sad film, and becoming one of my favorite horror films.
