Again GREAT THANKS to SHAWN SMITH of BLACKEST HEART MEDIA for bringing this Soundtrack to CD.
Manhattan Baby is my favorite FULCI soundtrack.
Yet the film is only so-so but its a classic nevertheless.
I first saw this on Lightning Video (a subsidiary of Vestron Video) in the summer of 1986--from THE BOX OFFICE video store in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania (in the same Plaza as Acme).
Its in Cinemascope and the videotape was pan & scan and everything was cropped (or cut-off) from the edges of the screen. A scorpion, for instance, would literally wander off the right edge of the screen.
Finally ANCHOR BAY came into being in 1996 and MANHATTAN BABY came to DVD in 2001 in all its 2:35.1 ASPECT RATIO GLORY!!!!!!
(the movie is still only so-so even with the letter-boxing, but its still . . . a classic).
Clive Barker is a TOTAL FAN of Fulci and rips-off the ending of MANHATTAN BABY in Hellraiser.
