Review of Maggie (2015) by Ryan F — 09 Jun 2018
As far as Zombie Movie's go, I would rate this in my Top 5 Favorites, Don't let the "59%" score fool you. This movie gives a very truly unique spin and take on the "Zombie Genre," by focusing less on the idea of "Zombies," and more on the idea of the connection between a parent and a sick child. The acting-performances are wonderfully well-done. This movie is in a vein of originality with titles like "Let Me In" ("Let The Right One In") and "Warm Bodies", in the sense that it takes a genre that is in such over-abundance and over-saturation in the current Media-Market, and flips it to a completely new perspective, which evokes much more feeling than just the simple, repetitive cycle of, "Eek! Zombies! Run! Hide! Survive!".
Give this film a chance, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
