Review of Lovely & Amazing (2002) by Luigi D — 27 Apr 2013
It is a lovely and amazingly well done character study of four women facing the facts of their lives and dealing with all the pros and cons of the contemporary world. Personally, I found myself absorbed by the realism and tenderness displayed through the interactions of the characters, and also by the eloquency of the script, the way it communicates this type of tiny revelations of life that you hardly find in movies.
Catherine Keener, Emily Mortimer, Brenda Blethyn and Raven Goodwin are simply wonderful in their respective roles.
