Review of Love & Pop (1998) by Dustin D — 13 Aug 2017
Love & Pop is a moderately engaging film based on the dubious premise Japanese high school girls engage in prostitution to pursue mindless consumerism. (This was based on unsubstantiated, anecdotal news stories from the '90s.
) The experimental filmmaking is interesting at times, but too showoffy at others. Check out the babyfaced Tadanobu Asano.
