Review of Love (2011) by Matthew S — 05 Oct 2012
After losing contact with Earth, Astronaut Lee Miller becomes stranded in orbit alone aboard the International Space Station. As time passes and life support systems dwindle, Lee battles to maintain stay alive and maintain his sanity.
In doing so, the movie evokes classic science fiction work (Moon, 2001: A Space Odyssey). This is clearly a love it/hate it type movie. Its narrative is not clear or linear, which may prompt the need for repeat viewings but it looks, sounds, and feels beautiful.
It's visually stunning; the cinematography is entrancing - interesting and opulent.
