This movie was amazing!!! one of the best aussie films ever!! lawrence has really out-down himself!! laura linney and gabriel byrne definitely give the best performances of their career!!!...and john howard too. I would have to be most impressed by deborah-lee furness (hugh jackman's wife if u didnt know), ive never seen her act before, and its such a shame she hardly ever does, coz she was so good. linney and furness will definitely pick up awards at the afi's for their performances. not sure about byrne though, he has a bit of competition with heath ledger.
I left the movie theatre so shocked. and couldnt stop thinking about it., only great films ever have that effect on me.
Ive been to jindabyne a number of times and love it so much.....and this film. although the dark story to it, captures the landscape so beautifully!!!
Definitely one of the best films of 2006.
