Hold on, this is not just another classic redone. The beginning of this movie is almost an exact duplicate of the 2003 version of Zatoichi except we have a heroine instead of a hero. The time line of this movie does not make any sense when compared to the 1962 version but none the less is outstanding.
Even though this movie has many similarities to the other Zatoichi movies, it introduces the next generation. While CGI blood is always annoying, the fight scenes were beautifully done. I personally am looking forward to the next installment.
