Review of Hearts & Minds (1995) by Adam W — 17 May 2009
The concept is simple: the film presents 2 hours of footage of soldiers, politicians, families, journalists and civilians from both Vietnam and the U.S. and you get to kind of stand back and draw your own conclusions of the whole affair.
I liked it. I think it's actually quite surprising how this documentary was finished in 1974 while the conflict was still going on. I guess I wouldn't have expected this level of clarity and insight to emerge for at least another 20 years, but it did.
