FANTASTIC adaptation. Imho the key to a successful take on Shakespeare is getting the emotion of the characters. The poetry is lovely . . . but not critical to a dramatic production if the people ring true.
This movie succeeded. And going for a Danish Dark Ages look gave it a nice visual feel.
